Google has enhanced Gemini 3 Deep Think, positioning it as a tool for tackling complex scientific and engineering challenges. The updated reasoning mode outperforms competitors like OpenAI’s GPT-5.2 and Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.6, excelling in benchmarks involving multimodal and advanced reasoning tasks.

Gemini 3 Deep Think demonstrates high proficiency in mathematics and programming, and performs well in natural sciences such as chemistry and physics. It solves problems at the level of gold medalists in international olympiads and scored 50.5% on the theoretical physics-focused CMT-Benchmark. The tool aims to assist researchers and engineers in interpreting data and modeling physical systems.

DeepMind introduced Aletheia, an AI mathematician built on the Gemini Deep Think platform. It set a new record by solving 91.9% of tasks in the challenging IMO-ProofBench Advanced benchmark. Aletheia features an error verification module and can recognize unsolvable problems, enhancing efficiency. It successfully contributed to scientific paper generation, collaborative proofs, and solving previously open Erdős list problems.

In medicine, DeepMind’s subsidiary Isomorphic Labs launched the IsoDDE engine for drug development, doubling prediction accuracy compared to AlphaFold 3. IsoDDE predicts drug-protein binding affinity more precisely, identifies hidden drug-binding pockets in proteins, and supports a broad range of molecular modeling tasks, marking a significant advancement in drug design.
